                Great sound support, to configure you only need to:
		sudo ossdetect -v
.	
		After configuring, you can turn sound on (load modules):
                sudo soundon
.
                Those two steps (detect & configure) can be also done using
                the menu item (sound ON).
.               
                Turn sound off, and save volume settings:
                sudo soundoff
                Or use the menu item (sound OFF).
.               
                And to test:
                osstest
.               
                All apps coming with OSS4 included, some of them:
                ossplay          Wave player
                ossrecord        Wave recorder
                ossmix           Console mixer
                ossinfo          List everything OSS knows about your soundcard

                Full docs are in /opt/oss.

		Detected hardware and saved volume settings are in /usr/lib/oss/etc
		so you might want to add that directory to your backup.

		Note: to compile apps that use OSS, you do not need to have OSS 
		loaded. The header file is in compiletc.
