mife  -  mtPaint Image File Encapsulator (Part of libmtpixel 0.40)

mife uses libmtpixel to convert a file to an indexed palette image file.
Each pixel represents one byte of the original file.  This image can
then be edited or viewed as a normal image, and then converted back again
to the original file.  In short, mife allows any image editor to act
rather like a hex editor, but with pixels instead of hex.

Usage:

mife [OPTION]... [FILENAME]...


Options:

  -format <string>        File format to create (default = png)
  -fv <integer>           Set format value, e.g. PNG compression (default=5)
  -list                   List file formats supported
  -o <string>             Set output filename
  -d <string>             Output all files to this directory

  -v                      Verbose
  -width <integer>        Set image width (default=square root of file size)
  -x                      Extract mode

Examples:

To convert input.txt to input.txt.png:

  mife input.txt

To extract the original file from input.txt.png and create input2.txt:

  mife -x -o input2.txt input.txt.png
